Welcome Back

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Bay Horse from the 4th July when we will reopen with a ‘Burgers & Beers’ evening from 5pm (other drinks are available!)
On Sunday 5th we will be serving our Sunday Menu at lunch and dinner in the garden and in Willow Barn.

We hope over coming months to be able to use our gardens as much as possible, with socially distanced tables, safe circulation space and a comprehensive range of measures implemented to ensure the safety of all of our customers & staff.

Booking is essential for those who wish to dine and drink with us and please, if anyone in your party has recently suffered from or is currently suffering from COVID-19 symptoms cancel your reservation in order to protect our team and customers.

Please do book ahead so that we can ensure that you have a table ready for your arrival and that all of our safety measures can be carefully carried out.

Menus

Our menu will remain small to ensure freshness and to allow kitchen systems to be as safe as possible for our staff. Any changes to the menu will be noted on the website. You are welcome to order food when you book if you know what you would like and we can take payment in advance meaning that you should be able to use contactless card payments for your drinks tab thus reducing contact to a minimum. You will of course be able to peruse a ‘safe menu’ whilst you are with us and may choose once you have arrived.

Indoor Dining

When the weather is inclement or just a little cool, we intend to use Willow Barn for ‘indoor dining’. The large, well ventilated space is perfect at this time of year and will allow social distancing of 1 m+. It will suit our celebration of the garden – we have never been more glad of ours as this year- and we hope that you will enjoy the novel experience.

As such we ask that you use the back car park and enter through the rear gates. From here you can navigate to your table either in the garden or barn. There are toilet facilities in the barn and full table service will operate.


Indoor Dining in the Willow Barn

The Hayloft

Our private dining room is available to book and is suitable for ‘bubble gatherings’ of 6-10 people. The menu is the same as that listed on our website but we would prefer a pre-order to make service as smooth as possible. Email craig&bayhorseinn.com for further details.

Takeaway

Our takeaway service will scale down, but if you feel that for the coming months your preference remains for food at home rather than ‘eating out’ please do call to place an order. Having been so well supported by our customers we don’t want to let anyone down now who will continue to value our takeaway service.

Pick up a Picnic!

For those of you, who like us, have enjoyed and hope to continue enjoying picnics in our beautiful county (they do prove practical with little ones in tow) you can also pre-order and collect our pub ploughman’s to take with you on your day out with bottled beers, canned cocktails or soft drinks as options or a packed picnic to share, featuring some Bay Horse favourites. Please order at least 3 days ahead. Feel free to add a bottle of Champagne if you are celebrating!


We are hiring!

We are looking for someone to join our team as Bar Manager. Experience of hospitality and specifically bar work is essential, although the position is available for someone who has not worked in a Bar Manager position before.

This is a full time position with hours/shift pattern to be negotiated. Rates of pay are good and will depend upon experience. Professional development is encouraged through training and experience opportunities.
